The Brno-based ALGLAS company, which focuses primarily on the production and supply of exterior and interior facades, aluminium window openings and other design elements of light metal and glass buildings, enters 2023 with renewed management, new visions and a number of newly contracted projects. The incoming Managing Director, Tomas Habarta, is keen to continue to focus on the company's further development.

"I believe that in the coming years, the construction industry will experience a crisis. Therefore, I consider it crucial to win new contracts for the next period. We are currently succeeding in this and I firmly believe that this will continue to be the case,"

said Tomáš Habarta.

In the last months of last year, ALGLAS agreed to cooperate on several new projects in the Czech Republic and abroad. For example, it will participate in the construction of premium apartments in the METROPOLIS building in Bratislava. One of the buildings in the ALGLAS complex will be fitted with a ventilated bond façade, aluminium windows with glass railings and balcony doors. METROPOLIS will offer a total of 298 residential units in two towers, which together form the letter M. The complex, which won the Best Residential Upcoming Development award at the 18th CIJ Awards, is expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year.

ALGLAS' next major order through 2023 is the revitalization of the Administration Building in Ústí nad Labem, where it will provide a post-and-beam aluminum glass façade. The same type of façade was then given to ALGLAS for the construction of a new hall extension at DT Výhybkárna a strojírna a.s. in Prostějov.

"The new contracts show that Alglas will be able to stand up without any problems even in difficult times. We have covered our capacity and are preparing for further development,"

said Tomáš Habarta.

The former director will help with strategic development

Despite the fact that Tomáš Habarta replaced Václav Stehn Sr. in the company's management, the former CEO is not leaving the company. He will focus on the strategic development of the company in his role as Senior Advisor to the Controlling Manager.

"I continue to deal with key clients, where personal relationships that I have built over thirty years and which are still extremely important play a big role. My main focus will be on controlling compliance with budgets, payments, materials, production and assembly. If a company is to be successful, it needs someone to oversee it," said Václav Stehno Sr., father of Václav Stehno, the founder of ALGLAS.

The broader management of the company will thus be able to draw on his years of experience and consult with him on strategic decisions.

"I am very pleased that Václav Stehno Sr. is staying with the company. His experience is indispensable for us, he has been in the industry for many years and knows ALGLAS better than anyone else. The personal contacts he has are very important now that investors are carefully considering who to award the contract to," added Tomáš Habarta.

At the same time, Tomáš Habarta brings new ideas and goals to the management of ALGLAS, which he plans to combine with the experience of Stehn Sr.

"At a time that is not easy for the construction industry, we are succeeding in winning new contracts, I consider this very important and I want to build on it further. We will focus not only on expanding our portfolio in the Czech market, but also on expanding into other EU countries. I would also like to continue to build a team of people who understand their work, enjoy it and get along with each other not only on a professional level, but also outside the company. This is essential for me. Being part of such a team makes sense to me," said Tomáš Habarta, indicating the direction he wants to take in running the company.

ALGLAS part of the THIERRA Group

ALGLAS enters 2023 not only with a new CEO, but also as part of the technology and construction group THIERRA.

"Together with the developer Tomáš Vavřík, we founded THIERRA because we did not want to sell our work out and look for subcontractors. At a time when the construction industry is preparing for a crisis, this is doubly true. It is better to keep the contracts together within the concern, as we are doing now with ALGLAS and THIERRA," described Václav Stehno Jr., founder of ALGLAS and CEO of THIERRA.
